Hi, I am new to this site, so if this isn't the place to post this, please point me in the right direction.
I recently acquired an Intel i7 2600k and ASRock Z77 Performance motherboard, and used it to upgrade from an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE and ASRock 970 Extreme4 motherboard. I was able to easily overclock the AMD CPU to 4.1GHz on air cool, but I have been having a little trouble being able to overclock this Intel CPU. This is my first Intel build. Does anyone know of a good guide that gives good, detailed instructions on overclocking the i7 2600k? Any information to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Question is what air cooler are you using to overclock above anything and what case? If you don't have good airflow and right amount of cooling then trying to OC anything is useless and futile.
My rig - I7-4770K, ASUS Z87-A Mobo, 16 GB Corsair Ram, AMD 7990 GPU, CoolIT AiO Cooler, NZXT H630
