I have seen this thread before, but considering I just dropped 250 (150 off because of some old hardware I sold) on a second 670... I am having buyers remorse. It hasn't shipped to me yet but I game on my 1080p 23' inch monitor and I have an hdmi run to my 50 inch plasma in the connected room. What I am curious about is since I am maxing out at 1080p is getting a second 670 overkill... Let me know what you think.
ED: I posted this in the workshop forum but realized it was more appropriate here.
It's a bit overkill for most things, however in some applications it is fairly reasonable. When playing games like Crysis 3 at maxed out settings, a second 670 might just make it or break it for you.
Also, that second 670 can be used for Bitcoin mining, folding, rendering, all sorts of things that would prove advantageous in some cases to you and others on the web.
All in all, remember to do your research next time, and I personally think that this second 670 should serve you well for quite awhile :)
Its never overkill! Also Nvidia cards are horrible for bitcoin so stick to folding if that is what you like. I would still get it and then if you get more monitors or a better one you are set already.
