Wow, well I'm not surprised. VZW do what they want cause they can. People can complain, but they continue to do business with them. I hate doing business with them but their coverage is excellent.
Well im sure the data behind it shows that not enough people are upgrading fast enough to keep it around. I always waited for my contract to expire just so if I wanted to leave I had the option or something. Verizon does seem to be painting bull eyes on their backs with all the recent news from them. So when are the announcing the price hikes? :P

If people need a new phone, maybe theyll just switch. That is why you allow early upgrades, even with a fee, so people dont switch. Retention is more important than growth!
They have eliminated the Discounted Upgrade all together. Your account will SAY upgrade but you dont get anything that anyone who signs a 2 year agreement doesnt already get. No additional discount for a customer who has had 5 lines for 10 years, thanks Big Red!
