Hate ads? Wish you could just skip 'em all, the Super Bowl notwithstanding? Get ready for your DVR. DISH just announced nationwide availability of the all-new Hopper DVR with built-in Sling whole-home HD DVR functionality. Outside of being able to placeshift content anywhere due to the integrated Sling capabilities, users will also be able to tap into DVR'd content through the DISH Anywhere app. With these features customers can watch their live and recorded home television content on Internet-connected tablets, smartphones and PCs at no additional charge.

It'll also let users download DVR content to mobile products, and with the free Hopper Transfers app, viewers can move recorded television to an iPad for viewing without an Internet connection. And, of course, it'll house up to 500 hours of HD footage on its internal storage array. New DISH customers who subscribe to DISH's America's Top 200 or DishLATINO Dos programming packages or greater can receive one Hopper and up to three Joey units for free, including a standard professional installation. The Hopper system requires a whole-home DVR fee of $10 per month and $7 per month for each Joey.

So, you hopping in, or what?

the best box but on a service I would never want. Does Dish still not have AMC? Can't live without Breaking Bad.
