Target has a message for Amazon and other popular online retailers: "You better check yourself before you wreck yourself." We're more than paraphrasing (Target didn't actually say that), but an updated price match policy makes it clear that the brick and mortar retailer is tired of being shoved around by online competitors.

Effective immediately, Target stores will price match top online retailers year-round, including Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, and Toysrus.com (and Babiesrus.com). If you find a lower price on Target's own website, the company will price match that, too.

Target

"Guests can confidently shop at Target every day for the best value in retail," said Gregg Steinhafel, Target Chairman, President and CEO. "We know that our guests often compare prices online. With our new Price Match Policy and the additional five percent savings guests receive when they use their REDcard, Target provides an unbeatable value."

The price match policy follows your purchase for up to seven days. If you find the same item selling for less within a week after purchase at one of the above mentioned competitors (or in a local competitor's print ad), Target will refund the difference.

This is a big step in a direction we hope other retailers will follow. Brick and mortar stores are often reluctant to compete with online competitors, the latter of which often times have less overhead to deal with. As a result, online spending is at an all-time high. Policies like this one could help turn the tide, especially with Amazon trending towards collecting sales tax in several states.

And I want to know when they begin to charge no taxes on sales. LOL!

This is the one online advantage they cannot compete with.

Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
