Although Verizon Wireless may have the largest 4G LTE network in the US at the moment, AT&T is working hard to expand its network and offer the faster speeds of LTE to its customers. Today, AT&T announced seven new markets that now have access to the carrier's 4G LTE network. The new markets include Bridgeport, Connecticut; Omaha, Nebraska; Bakersfield and Modesto, California; Syracuse, New York; Anchorage, Alaska; and Jacksonville, Florida.

AT&T claims to have the nation’s largest 4G network, covering 275 million people with its 4G HSPA+ network. AT&T’s 4G LTE network delivers speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. In addition to offering two different 4G technologies, AT&T also offers more than 30,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots for high-speed browsing throughout the country.

With the addition of these seven new markets, AT&T now offers 4G LTE coverage in 60 markets throughout the United States.

“We continue to see demand for mobile Internet skyrocket, and our 4G LTE network in Syracuse responds to what customers want from their mobile experience — more, faster, on the best devices,” said Marissa Shorenstein, AT&T president New York.
