The sale has started for anybody interested. I really like the flash sales, and being able to vote on what the next sale will be. I also think that even though (likely due to a glitch) all Konami games are 100% off, there isn't a single one that I even feel like wasting time and bandwidth on.
Seems Steam also introduced badges, though it's probably just a vanity thing. Still, my Steam ID is namakyp if anybody needs someone to help them complete the community badge goals.
HAPPY SHOPPING!

Ditto that. It's always good to keep an eye open during Steam sales. I've gotten some great games there for $10.
I'm trying to avoid it at the moment though - I still haven't even launched half my Humble Indie Bundle games, and I just downloaded everything that was free over at gog.com.

I am really torn, I want to buy skyrim as I dont have any thing to do any more once I get home from work. The GF is off to an internship with Boeing, but 39.99 is tempting but I dont know if its a good buying price, but with no DLC on it it kind of seems like I should wait for the DLC to be induced in the price....
I'd wait. I have feeling it'll pop up on the daily deals for a lot cheaper. Right now it just seems to fall under a small Bethesda-wide discount. That's just a guess though.
All I bought from the steam sale was Shogun Total War :3 about $8 I believe which I thought was a steal. I was also tempted to buy the Counter Strike pack.
I've bought three games during their sales recently.
Sometimes the prices are fantastic.
