Dell Updates as Industry-leading Supplier of Displays with Focus on Exquisite Performance and Value The newest additions to Dell’s industry-leading portfolio of displays, the new P and E displays offer customers diverse solutions that help them get the most out of every environment. “Our new displays have been enhanced with low-mount designs and LED backlights to deliver crystal clear viewing experiences for a variety of environments, enabling greater productivity for those looking to get the most out of their workforce,” said Tim Griffin, Dell’s vice president of displays and client peripherals. “Combined with Dell Display Manager and their eco-friendly design that includes mercury-free panels and lower power consumption levels, these new displays enable an optimal viewing experience no matter the situation and continue Dell’s strong tradition of leadership in the displays market.” The P1913, P1913S and P2213 displays feature the perfect blend of productivity-boosting performance and comfort in an eco-conscious design with low power consumption for enterprises of all sizes that want to help limit carbon footprints. The P series displays offer a variety of convenient connectivity options including USB, DVI, VGA and DisplayPort 1.2, making them a perfect companion for any platform or system, as well as high dynamic contrast ratios that help produce amazing and vivid color details such as deep blacks and bright whites especially for moving images. Dell’s new P series also offer an improved height adjustment range, helping customers customize to the level they are most comfortable with. The E1913, E1913S and E2213 displays offer brilliant color with great screen clarity, reliability and energy efficient features at a great value. The E series monitors are built for the demands of day-to-day business, and combine ease-of-use with essential features to maximize customer experiences. New LED backlights are environmentally conscious and mercury-free, helping make the display more energy conscious than conventional CCFL monitors, and Dell Display Manager helps save energy by dimming the monitor to its minimum brightness or putting it in to sleep mode when not in use. “Our new portfolio of displays underscores our continuing commitment to delivering end-to-end solutions that drive business outcomes and allow our diverse customer base to do more,” said PaulHenri Ferrand, vice president and general manager of Dell’s Software & Peripherals division. “Dell is delivering superior, award-winning visual experiences packaged in great designs that you will love.” Flexibility Enables Optimal Productivity Dell’s P and E series monitors place user comfort at a premium. The new P series feature an improved height adjustment range, providing optimal viewing height for a wide range of people and the E series offers the essential features at a great value. Both series include 16:10 and 5:4 format 19-inch options and a 16:10 format 22-inch option, meaning that customers can choose the right viewing pane for their needs and not the other way around. The E and P series are also eco-conscious, meeting the latest environmental and regulatory standards and are made with less hazardous materials, making them easy to recycle while also helping to limit power consumption. The P and E series displays also feature Dell Display Manager, a one-stop software application that allows manual adjustment or auto assignment of optimum preset modes to specific applications. Dell Display Manager also lets users manage power consumption via PowerNap, while Enhanced Menu Rotation provides a one-step screen content and OSD rotation when changing from landscape to portrait viewing. I must confess that I really do get pissed off become irritated when I see firms like Dell release specifications for monitors which omit (deliberately, IMHO) an essential piece of information, i e, the panel type. I don't know if it would be possible for Seth and other adminstrators at HH to always request this information from the firms in question before announcing or reviewing the product on the website....
