Looks like a bad-adz PC.
It's a tad pricey though,........
Dogs are great judges of character, and if your dog doesn't like somebody being around, you shouldn't trust them.
Eight large for a desktop ? Without water-cooling ? Sounds a bit steep, but I'd really like to see HH do a test which concentrated on performance, ventilation, and noise - you needn't, however, devote too much effort to the «[a ]utomotive quality paint options»....
Thanks, eunola, for the headsup ! I should have checked the net before posting, but when I saw the passage to the effect that
the Overdrive BigBlock.GTX features include:
· 100% aluminum chassis with custom fans
but where water-cooling wasn't mentioned with a word, I drew the (obviously false) conclusion that it had been omitted from this pricey (and, I suspect, rather warm) box. In any event, I do hope we can look forward to a detailed HH test...
PS : Have to confess to a certain degree of sympathy for your grandfather's point of view....
doubt that Overdrive PC will ever be the company it once was! i think its cool that Velocity Micro brought the name back out into the mainstream, however, what you wont find on the inside is the wizardry wiring that used to be in place from the original bad boys of Jody and Mario
