"the Kindle Fire accounted for 54.4 percent of all Android tablets at the end of February 2012."
This is no surprise to me on the account on how awesome this tablet is! With the Kindle's price being significantly lower then the other leading tablets, it is a strong appeal for me to buy it!
Sarah has a Kindle and I was thinking about getting one. We are both avid readers and the FIRE just seem to me to have way more uses in general. Not to mention it is priced very nicely compared to anything else close to it in capabilities.

well put! I have spent my fare share on the Ipad2 and on the Kindle, the kindle seemed to be the better choice for what i needed the tablet to, and for what it would do for my wallet,
When you say the kindle seems like the better choice as compared to the ipad 2 are you being serious? the ipad in terms of fuctionality and capability outdoes h kindle fire by atleast 2x, times that by 2 more because the ipad is bigger and divide it by 2 because the ipad is twice as expensive and the math turns out that the ipad 2 is twice as good. seeing as you have one you should know this already.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Android tablet. To tell you the truth, I'm not that enthused about it.
Don't get me wrong, it works fine and all... I'm just not a big fan of Tablets-Running-Phone-OS's. I'd much rather root the thing and put Linux on it, but I can't since I'm testing it for use at work.
What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?
hahahaha that is why i said "....for what i needed the tablet to, and for what it would do for my wallet,"
For what i what i was using it for, the kindle did the job, for less money was all i was saying
