While many of today's better smartphones offer dual-core processors and 1GB of RAM, alongside plenty of onboard storage, one of the easiest differentiating points between smartphones today has become the screen--size, resolution, and screen technology are all considerations. Samsung is pushing the former limits of smartphone screen sizes with the introduction of the new Samsung Galaxy Note. This smartphone offers one of the largest screens we've seen from a phone yet – 5.3 inches. In addition to being large, it is also a gorgeous display which uses Super AMOLED technology and offers a resolution of 1280x800... Samsung Galaxy Note Smartphone Review
too small and too big -- useless.
Hi
I disagree. When the iPhone 4S was relaunched the screen size was a real disappointment. Why bother upgrading from a iPhone 4 .... unless you are keen give your phone verbal commands whilst out and about ;-)
Here we have something which will be fantastic for the kindle app, GPS, youtube, Pocket Informant etc.
Granted this is not going to be liked by everyone given it's size but for those with large pockets..... !

although i love this phone and really want one myself, i can barely see this style of smartphone going anywhere in the future. With the current speed of which people are using their mobile devices for their everyday life, i see the laptop, netbook, and tablet market in danger of losing ground. why have a cell phone and a laptop or netbook when you can just have a smart device with a keyboard attached? i'm excited to see where pocket pc's will really go. maybe the 3rd gen windows phone will have full fledged windows OS's installed on them.
Mmmmm I can see where you are coming from but do heavy lifting you will need a laptop. Perhaps have tablet with a detachable keyboard. The phone will need have a different form factor to fit in a pocket or handbag.. If Apple disappoint with the iPhone 5, and lets face it the iPad 3 is hardly revolutionary. Then this phone will be something I would consider
I am extremely pleased with my Galaxy Nexus, and while I do have some tech envy regarding the new quad core processors, I also fully believe the GNex is the only current phone that will still be "relevant" two years from now... Look at the original Nexus and Nexus S? I will take backing from Google anyday, although the Galaxy S3 looks might nice...
