I see this as a very smart decision as is the mobile space they (Intel) are entering into as a provider. I think it will be one of the big things when this kind of storage is incorporated into tablets and smart phones as the main storage avenue. It meets all the requirements 10 fold and adds to many of them for energy efficiency, cool operations, and adds speed and a few things to that as well. Would you need a 1,4,8,16,32 Gb micro storage card in your phone if it had a SSD in it, well no, and it would operate more efficiently (the memory (stock and added and customer provided) requirement internally would be totally unnecessary as well as faster).
