Don't worry this ain't a poem.  This a just an observation.  Apparently I surf in the same electronic ocean as some of you folks.  And some of you have probably figured out who I really am by now (but please don't say it...or spray it Geeked).  And, Lord knows, I have won my fair share of "techno-booty" over the last few years since I've been specifically targeting it.  But I have to ask a curious question:  Have you noticed how many times "James Thompson" and "Oregon Slacker" over on Facebook have won in the past?  OMG!  Oregon Slacker alone could probably open up his own electronic boutique by now.  Those dudes must have 100-foot lightning rods stuck on the top of their houses or something.

Yeah some people seem to be really lucky :) I haven't had too much luck on FaceBook but forums have been great. Those two always seem to be winning something though :P

Quote

My advice to winning

Step 1:  Pull out your 4 leaf clover

Step 2:  Compliment your significant other (if you don't have one call your mom)

Step 3:  Drink 7.3 ounces of water

Step 4:  Make friends with all the people who also enter contests

Step 5:  Karma - Congratulate everyone who wins a contest and don't think/say you should have won.

Step 6:  Put 80-foot (not 100-foot) lightning rod on top of your house)

Hope this helps!!

James Thompson

I just got: a Cooler master storm sniper case, SSD (120GB), 8gb of ram, a 550GTX, and a gaming mouse. I am just waiting on the Mobo. All I need is a 1155 CPU, PSU, and optical drive and I am set. Pics to come later in the weekend...

Congrats to both of you two.

Der, you hit the jackpot, although I really like that Cougar case.

Haha, that is awesome FreeJet.  Congrats sir.  Like I said on Cougar's post, I thought I had won a fan but this showed up at my door.  I am grateful though.  Except I don't have anything to put in it.  Or the White DR from In - Win.  I actually stopped going after cases but the Dragon Rider was calling.

I won't be going after anymore gaming PC's thats for sure.  Wife yelled at me because of the taxes.  So everyone is safe there.  :P

Good luck to you all and I'll see you guys around.

I had a very hard time with the one on MNPCtechs website. Bottom right of page under one of the products in the store :P
Hope that helps and good luck.

I don't have the time to search their websites,....taking ~in~ all of what they're selling, at the same time I'm looking for the three puzzle pieces that they've hidden so well.

I didn't do it.

It's an epic prize though.

It is epic... I don't envy the person who has to pay taxes on the $4k though. The Fractal one is pretty easy and the Patriot one has something to do with the system :)
It would be cool to see someone from here win this one of a kind system.

Hey Neil, just look up specific items that are in the prize rig on their corresponding sites. The images are small but easy to find if you only look at the specific parts pages. (ex. The case product page, the fan grill product pg, etc.) :D

omegadraco:

If you already own an AMD Radeon HD 4000, 5000 or 6000 series graphics card or AMD (socket FM1) APU, and you either want a Radeon upgrade or a chance at trying out CrossFire (or even 3-way CrossFire!), you can enter this competition. http://rog.asus.com/82342012/news/competition-time-got-one-win-one/

too bad the  "The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later."

also down over the weekend too ..oh well pretty sure it will be back up and running soon.

anyone else enter this one ?

That's pretty darn cool.

And$299.00 isn't such a bad price for something that may very well become a collector's item.

Also good for hiding Saturday afternoon practice beer from Friday night jam room partiers. Yes

Ha-Ha! Nope,........Some mook would try to use the AMP and it wouldn't work. Then the cat would be out of the bag.

That is an excellent program. Thanks for providing a link to it here.

I've only had it for a few days, but I like how complete it is.

..The registration key email from abseira.com reads "The license contains 1 year usage of AIDA64 Extreme Edition 1.85 and the option of updating for the latest version within 3 months with 50% discount. If you exceed this period you will receive 30% discount. After 1 year it is not possible to update the software and you will need to purchase it with full price."  I'll leave it to you to attempt to parse these sentences as the entire process has given me a slight headache.

well some may parse it like this in Press Release  info also announced yesterday
