Thats the first thought i had... calling it a fuel pack doesnt help either haha... the last thing i'd want is for Airport security to ask me... "Son, what is this gadget".... "Its a fuel cell driven power source for when my devices die"...."come with me please"
At least this is waterproof and rugged. after watching 127 hours and burried... this thing CAN come in handy!
Oh, btw, my friend has one of those energizer portable rechargers for his blackberry.... his only complaint is, by the time he gets home, he needs to charge both devices... he purchased a battery and battery dock from ebay which he prefers... so he can charge the secondary battery outside. Its easier to carry the second battery vs carrying the portable recharger.

I have actually been waiting to see something on a hydrogen solution ever since the troops had the experimental power packs a year or so ago. As a solution especially for slates/iPads, and smart phone as well as many other devices I think this is an awesome idea. I just cannot wait until the get us full on hydro batteries, from what I understand they generally last about 20 days with active use on a singular device such as one of those I listed or an MP3 player etc. Then you would have to take them in to get charged at somewhere like your local cell phone store or electronics store. The details I give are rough as it has been quite some time since I read about it. I do know they said for a soldier it would operate all his devices for 3-5 straight days, and a soldier has a mini radioshack on nowadays so it is impressive, of course that was larger hydrogen charger, but much less in mass than they currently have to carry to keep it all charged!
I agree, I'm cautiously optimistic that is it what they say it is. If they offer it an affordable price, this could be a game changer. I would love something bigger to charge my laptop with!
