The contest will run through Monday September 13, 2010 at which point we’ll announce the grand prize winner.

I think that means it will be announced on 9/13 today :).

Super Dave:

realneil:
If I get lucky enough to win it, I'm gonna have to wait until November to build. Crying

These ARE economically difficult times. I work for Ralphs Grocery Company, and our contract expires next week. If there is a strike or a lockout, both my wife and myself will be out of a paycheck. It would be very good if you guys could keep me and my family in your prayers! If I am fortunate enough to win this beautiful MSI mobo and graphics cards I would need to finish the build after the new contract is ratified...Sad

SuperDave

Wish you and your wife luck on your jobs I hate to see anyone loose their job especially in these hard time so I,ll say a prayer for you!!!

Good luck on the win too !!

Sorry that you two are facing a contract negotiation in such hard times. I remember friends of mine who were in the same line of work and how their companies tried to screw them over every single time they had to re-negotiate. It's a good job with good benefits, but they had to go out on strike a number of times throughout the years, while seeing their health care coverages dwindle every time. It can drive you nuts,..........

What's up with that? Lightning

Mine's absolutely rock solid,.............are you overclocking it 'till it sweats? Wink

BTW: I played the Metro 2033 Demo and while it seemed to be a cool game, the Demo was far too short to get a 'real-feel' for it.

I dont know.  The first time the heatsink was broken and if the fan was running at all, it made a horrible grinding noise.  Sent the card in and they replaced that.  And for this time, I was overclocking it, but not much.  Didn't go past the limits in CCC.  Then when I took it back down to stock speeds I started getting artifacts all over while gaming.  And the card seems to be completely unstable at only 65 degrees.  Tried it in 3 machines.  Gotta love that XFX modders warranty though

Is the PSU known good? Sorry for the juvenile question, but a failing PSU can manifest itself in so many weird ways,.....What a P*I*T*A it must be to have to keep on sending it back in.

the psu could be the issue, its new but I did sleeve it real carefully.  Been testing with a friends 5750 on both pci power cables, and everything is running normally.

Never mind that,

Good luck folks!

Your card uses more power than your friend's card does,......but it sounds like you have it well in hand. Hopefully they'll get it replaced quickly.
