Don't know if anyone else (except Bob) noticed yet, but there's another free game out on Steam today: Alien Swarm. Bonus: It appears to work under Wine with no issues.
What part of "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?

I haven't downloaded it but the original UT2K4 mod was awesome.
Downloaded it last night.. i'll be playing it tonite most likely :-D
Cool going to go check it out right now
Love the gameplay, but wish it was longer.
My initial experience with it was not so grand.
I played the offline part for practice... you can only do the one level tho.
While at times it was fun, It was a bit buggy.
(pun unintended, lol)
At the very beginning I was trying to open the door and it frustrated me to no end because it would not open, even tho the light turned green.
Restarted and tried again... doing the same thing... and it worked.... lame.
Then I tried the online part... I waited like 5 minutes for a game to start and then I gave up.
I might give it a second chance tonite... i'm probably expecting too much from a free game lol
