Haven't see one of these threads in a while.

I'm still using my MacBook but I stuck a copy of Ubuntu on it, I wouldn't recommend Ubuntu on a Mac before you ask.

Anyway go . .

Hey Dev, haven't seen you on in a while.

It all looks a bit squished, but hey that's what the screen shot comes out as...  I'm going to make a new back ground from the nvidia site.  I say make because my total resolution is 3360x1080.  Having two different size monitors makes things a bit harder for wallpapers.

Just rebuilt my system today, and went with a Ghost In The Machine desktop theme.

Kubuntu 10.04 (pre-alpha)  - and it boots to login in 13 seconds.  :D

I decided to back to OS X. Currently running Snow Leopard which is the best yet. Ubuntu on Mac hardware is definitely not a good idea unless you are a serious open source advocate or have extensive need of exclusive Linux features.

print screen like you did, then do a paste in a image editor (paint/gimp/PS/etc.)

Time to revive this.  I finally took the time to work around the Unity bugs (too new to have been the default, if you ask me), and got it working perfectly.

I got the cube effect enabled, and got the systray to allow all icons (gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']")

It's actually pretty decent now.

And yes... I'm running 11.10...  pre-alpha.  Love the bleeding edge.  :)

Win 7 has the "Snipping Tool". Do a search for it, it's easy to use

My Windows install. Decided to do a fresh install. Nothing exciting. Some server crap for Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 on the desktop. Having a *** getting my wifi card working with Ubuntu so I have not messed with it much. So the desktop is even less exciting than my Windows install.
