Verizon Intros First-Ever Subsidized Windows 7 Netbook

If it's a subsidized netbook you're after, it's Verizon Wireless thatyou should be looking at. The wireless operator has a whole slew ofnetbooks on the cheap (provided you sign up for pricey 2-year dataplan), and if the current crop isn't good enough for you, two more arehitting today courtesy of HP.

But there's something extra with one of these two. The HP Mini311-1037NR is the first Verizon netbook to support Windows 7 HomePremium, while the HP Mini 110-1046NR sports the tried and true WindowsXP Home Edition. Both of 'em come with integrated WWAN modules to getyou connected wherever a Verizon tower is near, and if coupled with aVerizon Wireless GlobalAccess service plan, they can surf in over 185international destinations.

The HP Mini 311-1037NR is available for $249.99 after a $100 mail-inrebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a Mobile Broadbandplan, while the HP Mini 110-1046NR will ship in the middle of nextmonth for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and signing the same broadband plan.
