NEW ACER AS1410 SERIES BRINGS STYLE AND AFFORDABILITY TO ULTRAPORTABLE COMPUTING
11.6-inch notebook lightens the load for mobile users who want to enjoy social networking, video and productivity applications on the go; available for just $399
For 400 bucks that is a nice setup. Had to believe I'd say that about a Celeron rig even for me. But versus a netbook at basically the same price point a decent celeron double the ram and a GPU that may be nowhere near any high end gamer, would actually work for whats expected of it. From what I've heard about this Intel mobile gpu profile it also has much to distinguish it from the older Intel internal units.
The end of this is the size with a screen big enough, but battery life also good enough as well. Then the performance benefits on top of ot makes this look very attractive especially at 400.
Well the display is good enough for HDMI out, not bad.
And the Celeron is going to give you much better performance than the atom.
Thats my point and at basically the same or very close price wise so why buy a netbook?
Yeah, this is a step forwards. The fact that it has Win7 on it for that price is what surprised me. I would buy the cheapest one they have and then put a larger, faster hard drive into it, followed by double the RAM.
