What bout having the some post stickied like in other forums. So that if there was useful information for everyone to see right at the top of that section. So whenever they opened that section it would be up there at the top all the time instead of searching for it. Just my thoughts. Does the new forum have that ability or no.

This is definitely something we do here.  The moderators should be able to set it, as well as admins.  Is there something specific off hand that you had in mind?

ARS Technica has a sticky in their  CPU and Motherboard Technologia section that discusses how to swap your motherboard out without reinstalling windows.

See it here as an example.

I tried it about a year ago and it worked for me.

I'm not saying to copy it, but there are lots of cool posts on your boards that solve problems that we all run into at times. Sticky Posts are a good idea.

Guys, I am happy to sticky posts (as are any of our moderators) for things you find useful.  Please just flag me when you get things worked up and we'll have a look (or flag any of our moderators).

Thanks!

What the?   Grrr... I don't see it either!  I'll get our developer on this ASAP.  It's the new software.  Something is up.  Sorry!  Stay tuned.

A good test would be to sticky a post that says "If you post a fake instructional spamvertisement for your DVD-ripping software or gold-farming services, we are going to make your IP address visible in the post."  :)

People read the stupidest things.  Like this sig, for instance.
