They now have Free, Basic and VIP classes for folks playing the MMORPG.  Basic and VIP options still have monthly fees I think but the basic free paly option sounds interesting I may have to try it out.

I saw this earlier. I might give it a try this weekend.

Edit: Downloading. Funny they actually have 2 downloads for low and high end PCs.

Thanks for the info!  I think I'll take a peek at it this weekend too.

I tried it out.

The high-rez version performed great on Linux+Wine, and the game looks to be very well done.

But... I'm not going to be playing it.

The monster pathing seems to constantly make the monsters run up and to the side of you.  You need to constantly manually turn in combat so that you can hit them, since your focus is the center of the screen (at least when playing a tank).  Like Oblivion, this made me horribly motion sick by the time I was done by the second mission.

So... good game, but not for me.

I tried it and realized I still hate MMORPGs. Looks great under DX10 though.

Heheh... I think I'm pretty burned out on the fantasy genre as well.  I'll give MMORPGs another chance when StarTrekOnline comes out.  :)

Funny I skipped it when it kept trying to force me to install their download manager, I hate that stuff its usually ad-driven crap. Adobe has started doing this with flash too.
