Updated specs in this thread:
http://hothardware.com/cs/forums/t/45100.aspx
The big difference between the 1156 socket and the 1366 socket is triple channel as well as upgrade ability. From what I have heard the next intel chips (six core), and on a smaller nanometer scale will be direct drop ins for the 1366 board. I personally like the pci express on the MB a little better than on chip. I do usually use a single GPU, but I also don't like giving up options.
That seems to be the only thing you loose is options though, and I don't know if it is actually that big of a deal anyway, considering the capability of the 1156 chips. The six core option is also kind of a non issue. Most software would have a real chore using 4 cores completely today anyway. So using 6 would probably be a joke not to mention 8 cores or more.
The specs don't mean that much to me. (I'm Lying like a Dog here) It's on a level so far above what I have now that all I can say is that it would be a fine day to win it, and it would be a fine time trying it out for the first time.
Maybe something like selling the old Kia and getting a Mercedes to replace it.

I would love to have a system like this. I have a friend who ordered one and can't wait to see what he has to say.
Only two days left until some lucky individual wins this awesome system. Of course I wish it to be me, as my current need as well as financial situation could definitely use it. Who knows we all would love to have an awesome system like this. Just two days till HH our awesome forum graces someone with this beauty of a system.

"I'm EXTRA stoked!"
I knew you would be after all of your comments.
Good luck everyone, someone will win this beast in the next 36 hours. Grats to whoever wins it this beast of a package is going to grant several years of good service for one of us.
Good luck to all of you out there. This is pretty exciting and the anticipation is thick enough to cut with a knife! Yow!
This comes with Vista And an Upgrade to Windows 7 too! I reread it again and found more information that never sank in the first few times,.............sigh!
I wonder if they'll leave the benchmarking software on it too?
So tomorrow somebody here wins the computer system,.....and the rest of us will have our hopes dashed allot like THIS double impact on the Moon's surface.

Thanks again to the people who provided the parts going into this system.
Thanks Hot Hardware for the cool contest.
Lol, I could really use it, I use the internet like many on here a lot. I go to school full time over the net now (yes I went back to school), been doing it for a year now. I also do just about everything through the net in one form or another. I also game when I get a chance and my computer has definitely seen better days (and that was at least 3 years back now). However; I wish good luck to everyone, and whoever does win it enjoy it. I think the contest is over tomorrow so we should know who the lucky one is very soon!
That is such a nice gaming PC. Good luck to everyone.
Enter me please, I'll sign up for the newsletter. Thanks for the killer giveaway.
Best of luck to everyone.
The waiting is driving me nuts,......LOL!
