CyberPower customers can begin customizing and configuringtheir Core i5/i7 gaming rigs in tandem with Intel’s official launch onSeptember 8th.


CyberPower will initially offer five new models in its GamerXtreme 1000 to 5000 series, which will feature Intel’s LGA 1156 Core i5 or i7processors with a choice of new Intel Core i5 750 (2.66GHz), i7 860 (2.80 GHz),and i7 870 (2.93 GHz) CPUs. Customers will have several new P55 chipsetmotherboards to park their new processors in from leading motherboard manufacturerssuch as Gigabyte, Asus, EVGA, and MSI.

Intel’s “Lynnfield” i5/i7 processors and P55 chipset provideenhanced performance for digital media creation and demanding multi-tasking andexcellent graphics options for gaming.

The Core i5 features intelligent performance, whichautomatically adjusts the processing power and speed of your processor to yourworkload demands. Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology easily increases the speed ofyour CPU without manipulating settings in the motherboard bios. The newprocessor architecture also features an integrated dual channel DDR3 memorycontroller for improved responsiveness and performance.

It's not as bad as some of the cases I have seen from cyberpower.

@wil2200: That's the Bulldozer case, and yes I agree it's about as beautiful as what it's named for. But hey, the Coolermaster Storm Scout (second from the right in the lineup) is good-looking and has some decent airflow.

You can get that hideous cold cathode lighting in a variety of colors, but I wish the system builders would have an "I am over 15" option which leaves that off, and also changes all the LED fans to silent (and nonilluminated) ones. And not just the 120 mm ones, either, but the 140s, 200s, and 230 mm fans. When I'm at my station I stare into the monitor, not at the flashing lights on my rig!
