For some reason my remote is not working. I don't believed there is anywhere hardware problem with the remote. It's something to do with the computer, I think. The remote controls does seems to work but there is no response from the computer. When I check the task manager, I do see the the rcman.exe process is running and there is no error in the event log so I don't know where else to check next. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

might just try cleaning out the software and reinstalling it

I tried updating the latest version and it totally screw up my system. There is absolutely no sound and none of the application from Creative Labs work. The error I got once upgrade to the latest is as follows when I just logged into Windows XP.

did you remove the old program before the update?

No, I did not manually uninstall it but when I install the new updates, it automatically uninstall the old one before installing the new.
