So I just upgraded my system to a new quad core, and I also needed to buy an PCIE Video card and an SATAHard Drive. What I did not even think about was the dvd drive :)
So I get all of the goods, go to plug my dvd drive in, and guess what?
Yep, no ATA. Only SATA. So I've got this sweet new rig, and I can't even use it, until I order a stupid ATA Dvd Burner, so I can reinstall Windows, lol
I'm an idiot.

I think you mean only SATA. EIDE and IDE are the same thing. The wide thin wire. SATA is the thin usually red wire. Do you know what motherboard you have? Also bestbuy or walmart might have a PCI card that will have IDE slots on them. I know you don't wanna wait. On the bright side though that card or a DVD player with a SATA cable are both cheap so you wont be out of pocket that much either way you go.

What mobo do you have that it does not have an IDE slot?

You are right, that is what I meant. Edited post to fix this.
