Build up my old Rig

hey i kinda noob here

can you tell what is the problem here in my old rig

the specs are:    ASUS (don't know the model)

                        512mb ram

                        256mb ram

                        pentium 4

                        Geforce mx 440

                        Seagate 250GB

the problem is when i put this things all together all are working but there is no display in my monitor

the fans are all spinning the only problem is there is no display

have you tried it with a different graphics card?

 

or used the other output on the card if it has it?

yeah i have tried 3 different graphics card

Have you tried a different monitor. Also are you sure the machine is actually turning on do you here it post? Cause it might be another hardware problem cause even though the fans are spinning doesnt mean that it is on all the way. If you dont here it post then it could be a power supply, mobo, cpu or memory just have to start narrowing down from there. Seeing that you have already tried multiple video cards.

I agree with Transam, try what he says.  My other suggestion is that if your monitor has 2 inputs (vga and DVI,) there will be a button to switch which will be the input.  This of course does not apply to CRT monitors.

Im curious does this board also have onboard video? And do you have some xtra ram sitting around?

yes i have some extra RAM for it i have 4

it doesn't have on board video card

i tried 3 mainbaords, 3 processors, 4 RAM, 3 power supply, 2HDD still not working do you think its in my style of installing Hardwares?

if it is my style how come other Pc i assemble work fine and healthy

don't you think it's in the hardware?

i just can't get what is the error here

yeah you miss something ^^

i just mentioned that i use 3 different graphics cards

try a diffrent VGA cord....

By looking at the specs and problems you had it is surely your graphic cards problem just check it out for this. You can also try out for other monitor just to check whether where the actual problem is.
