" There's been no formal announcement made about what partners will be selling the 1GHz variant, but AMD does note that Asus, Club 3D, Diamond Multimedia, Force3D, GECUBE, Gigabyte, HIS (Hightech Information Systems), ITC, Jetway, MSI, Palit Multimedia, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE Technology and XFX are all estatic about the news."
That makes me laugh lol So basically we can expect THESE companies to sell the 1Ghz variant.
Cool, when can we expect a review? :-D
awesome, hopefully it won't be too much more than the 850mhz..
It's hard to believe that GPU clocks never had the GHz explosion that CPUs had. CPUs went from 500MHz to 3GHz in what, 4 years, maybe less? Still, it's hella cool to finally have that power, even if it's not as efficient per clock as Nvidia.

Hey, whadaya mean? Could you please explain this to me!
SPAM-posters beware! ®
Nvidia's competing GPUs are clocked a couple hundred MHz slower yet perform similarily. So we'll see even more power once Nvidia hits 1GHz.
Nvidia is also using GDDR3 vs GDDR5 with ATI :-P
