Since you can't edit comments you make to a lot of front page links, would it at least be possible to include buttons for linking text?

People read the stupidest things.  Like this sig, for instance.

If you reply to anything on the front page, you can't include any HTML/markup/whatever (or add tags).  I commonly have examples that I wish to link, though I will totally understand if you decide against allowing it because of potential bot exploits.

People read the stupidest things.  Like this sig, for instance.
