    Amd Athlon 2100 high temps

So with load on an amd athlon 2100 cpu i opened pc wizard and it shows that im at 90 degrees C. and without having any load , im at 84 degrees C. My temps seem a bit high compared to other pcs. Is that normal for my cpu? If you need any more info just ask. Thanks

That does seem very high. What are you using to monitor the temps with?

try another program and see if you get those high settings. I don't think pc wizard is reading them right. Your pc would probable not be stable at 80C.

ok, so here are my temps after running cpu burn in for a half hour.

    These results are from speedfan

    temp1:21c

    temp 2: 81c

    hd0:42c

    temp1:83c

    core:62c

I looked at pc wizards results too and it shows just about the same temp for all of them. So is my cpu burnin up or what?

hmm it does sound like its burning up... Have you tried using some new thermal grease or maybe dusting out your CPU fan, and its heatsink if it has one.

Yes i took off the fan and used compressed air on that and around the cpu. As for the thermal grease ill try replacing that and see what happens.

Re: Amd Athlon 2100 high temps

The core temp of 62 is the 1 for your cpu and under a load that is a little warm but not failure kinda hot Yes

the core on speed fan is 62, and on pc wizard it says the 62C is the gpu temp , so i think core = gpu and not the cpu?
