Update:  moved an eVGA 8800GT into Rig 1 for CUDA PhysX  (and little more GPU2 . . . )  Wink

Rig 1  Q6600@ 3.6 SMP  GTX 280@ 648/1525/1161 GPU2  8800GT@ 600/1826/900 GPU2

- Think I finally got it running right with mixed GPUs in Vista - took about a week, and then it seems that a higher card is limited to only folding with the number of shaders of the lower card . . .

Rig 2  Opteron 170  GTX 260@ 602/1455/1026 GPU2

- Still running Rig 2 in ‘Apollo 13’ mode on 500W waiting for a PSU RMA

- - Right now I’m testing running the three GPUs with just the shaders clocked high; also not running SMP today/tomorrow to see its impact on the GPU ppd and if I got the core affinities right.

And Congrats again Bob!  Yes

That would be sweet. I'm getting the gpu client running on my girls rig right now! Can you run the SMP client on crossfire cards?

Looks like we hit the monthly record Warlord was shooting for with room to spare Big Smile

On crossfire, this is from the new GPU2 documentation at F@H:

"If you are running multiple GPU cards with SLI or Crossfire, you need to unlink the cards by disabling SLI or Crossfire in the driver control panel. Also, you need to extend the desktop for the client to recognize the cards."

?

To run multi-gpu, you need to have a monitor (or dummy plug) plugged into each card, and then in windows extend the screen of your primary card onto the second monitor for it to work.

- and I agree, Warlord's got the next contest in the bag

No need to be sorry Big Smile You did exactly what your suppose to and there is always next time and I knew i hadn't done enough to beat you or at least didn't feel i had. So no ill will my HotHardware brother its just a case of should a could a would a. I came too close next time i will finish up. You and i had our 5yrs with hothardware with in a couple of weeks of 1 another matter a fact i only have aout 2 weeks give or take a day of so either way from ya so seeing you win bob gives me hope. Besides i must remind myself that free gear isn't why i here and never has been.

Not saying i wouldn't like some cause we all do but thats not why i'm with hothardware. Its the people the hardware and the knoldge that is had within this site. I have a membership every where but this is my home. Now and for ever i fold for HotHardware team 23407 and have made arrangements to fold even beyond the event of my death with the rigs i have left to the event they are no longer of use for science...i'm just that serious its in my will. So you folks intending on catching or for that matter passing me, not even when i die. First is going to be mine...remember that heck write it down if ya wish because the #1 spot here is mine ...larac is just keeping it warm.

I have been tellin people about it.  Its hard to get them to fold unless we go to there house and just install it ourselves lol. But I will say this for how many people we do have I think we are doin a great job. I mean were not at the top but we have been moving up and we are all doing it for a good cause so cheers everyone. Heres a Beer for everyone. Lets go team.

Its been like being a miget trying to climb everest.Wink Its slow but we are holding our own and its a good show.Big Smile 19 with this kinda of ppd isn't bad at all.Yes We are doing great but i would like to see alot more of the 21,000 HotHardware members folding. If only 10% would fold we would be in the Top 100 in no time. I'm just not pushing the Folding Team hard enough i guess.  So our new goal for the month of September is to get 10 new folders and a total of 1.7 million points .Just 10 folks it shouldn't be to hard for us but we will need to get inventive.

So to recap we will need 600,000 points over last months total points and 10 new folders. All i can think of is to start making realistic goals each month and try to meet them. If any of you have a suggestion of how to get some more exposure  and possibly get the new folders we need to the folding team, i'm all ears  Also keep in mind should we not meet a goal its not the end of the world but as long as we push to meet em we will gain traction in the ranks

I agree warlord we have done alot with the lil we have had. Dang I didnt know there was that many members of board. But you know they could be folding but prolly for another team. Goals are good and if we dont meat them we just have to keep thriving to meet them. Also the only other thing I can think of on recruiting is hitting some of the other forums that arent folding and recruit from there.

On a side note what happened to larac??
