Weird Bug On iPod Classic With The Firmware Version 1.1.2 (PC Version)

I just bought my new iPod Classic Three days ago  and I decided to updated the firmware 1.1 to 1.1.2

After to updated it I began to test my iPod to ensure it was fine but when I accessed in the "Contacts" section and press the menu button to go back to the main menu my iPod restarted with no reason and I had to setup again the clock, calendar and even the language, I accessed for second time to "Contacts" section and it restarted again.

I restored the iPod software to try to fix that bug but it didn't work when I tested again, Huh? Does any one has the same bug with this firmware? I really want to report this bug to Apple so they can fix it and improved the firmware please.

I don't have this problem but I have an idea of how to fix it.

My guess is that if the only time you have problems is when accessing Contacts, chances are your contact database is corrupted.

To resolve this, you need a program that will allow access to your iPod as a hard drive.

Then, navigate to /var/mobile/Library/AddressBook and delete the database files for Contacts items there.

When done, restart your iPod and it should automatically create fresh new database files. All you have to do is either manually recreate them, or do an import from whatever Contacts app. you use in Windows.
