    Firefox 3 Gets Dated

    We just received an RC3 for Firefox 3.  Oh no!  Sure it was a Mac-only change, but what does that do to the release date?  Apparently, not much.

    The Mozilla Foundation has announced the release date for Firefox 3.  It will be June 17th (yep, next Tuesday).

    At the same time, the Spread Firefox site trumpets that the number of pledges they have received from users who will download FF3 on the release day has surpassed 1 million.  Are we going to download on the release day?  Why not?

    This would be an official Guiness Book of World Records entry, so go over to Spread Firefox and check it out.  And start your download engines.

    um im going to wait a week, just in case, the RC2 im running now works good, no problems so far.

    Im gng to make the jump to Firfox to finally try out a new browser I guess you can run Firfox with IE7 as the primary browser.Ill probaby run it on a test computer with Vista ultimate to get use to it.Since all I have ever ran is IE it certainally will be differant and probably will be asking for advise on it like first of all setting it up to run on the same PC as IE7.Setting and such!

     Great, I love FF3, I wonder if IE8 is still in beta.

    Yeah It appears so It will take me a little on the job training to deal with not only a new OP system but at the same time a new browser! As I said before in a previous post the last time I looked at another browser was netscape thats freaking prehistoric on my part and embaressing too! LOL

    Believe it or not amdcrankitup the setup is just pressing the next button upon first installing it and it trasfers settings and favorites over.

    So yeah I've been loving the features of all of the betas for vers 3. I love how they finally incorporated the save feature. I used to shut down my pc with the browser open so i didn't lose what i had opened.
