Verizon sucks hands down, but its widely used and reliable. The phones are extremely bad and on top of that bad Verizon UI. The HTC Touch Pro looks absolutely amazing. The reason it probably won't be picked up is its price. I just wanna gauge how many people would actually buy it, and maybe we can get a petition going.Engadget Link

I'm probably one of the few who really doesn't use a cellphone much. I really only use mine as a watch and to make the occasional call (rare). You will never see me text, probably because I don't have that feature. Even if I did, I would rarely use it. I get enough of the Internet (gasp!) at home on my laptop and desktop. It is good for me to go out and not have a feature like that on my phone. I'll more than likely be browsing every chance I get, like during those boring economic lectures.
Don't get me wrong. The new stuff they put in cellphones are amazing. I would love to have one. But I am satisfied with a phone that has a small profile and good battery life.
So I guess to finally answer your question. I am a Verizon user. I would not spend money to buy this phone.
The HTC phone is is very cool see from the photo.

It looks pretty nice. I don't use my phone much, but would if I had a nice one like this. But unfortunately I can't have a phone with a camera on it at work, so I won't be getting a smart phone any time soon.
This is the original Touch Pro from 2007-8, its been replaced by the Touch Pro 2 since august last year FYI
T-Mobile is offering the HTC Pro 2 for free with contract.
Yeah this actually is the Touch Pro2 not the Touch pro Verizon has both but the original is considerably less this phone and the droid are the same price of $199 for existing verizon subscribers. Therefore if I was getting a smartphone that would be you choice TP2 or Droid full (not Eris which is 79 dollars now). I think largely it depends on your screen size preference. The full Droid also has one of the highest resolutions on the market as well. At least currently with American providers.
