    Asus creates upgradeable gfx cards!?

I just saw over at Tom's hardware, not to change the traffic, but this was interesting. Asus created a upgradeable gfx card. Supposedly you can upgrade to series 4800 and 5800. I might buy this if works alright.

I've actually been a fan of this idea for a while now.  I hope the idea catches on and is successful.  I think I'll be monitoring this to see if the concept is worth it.  It could potentially save people money.

im highly intrigues, this kinda reminds me of asus's external video card concept for laptops. i dont think this will take off *too* well, but it might be the first inroads towards real modular designs. plus its still upgrading, so the end cost might not be so good. plus it looks like you might be limited by the ram you originally buy with the chip, or did i miss something?
