Just in case you're the type who likes to jump right down to the news, we're writing to let you all know that we have just posted a new article here at HotHardware in which we evaluate Cooler Master's innovative COSMOS S chassis.  Like the original COSMOS, the new S variant has what appear to be bar-like handles along both sides of its top and bottom edges.  And its general shape is reminiscent of the original COSMOS as well.  The COSMOS S, however, has a new titanium and glossy black finish that really stands out and its inputs and ventilation scheme are all somewhat different.  Click the link below and check it out...

Once again, another thoroughly excellent review by HotHardware. This case looks like a real beauty, not to mention the extensive cooling options. That side panel fan is a monster. I have been looking at various cases on newegg recently and this seems to offer the best combination of style, cooling, space and features of any I have seen.

By the way, I didn't know you had another Skulltrail lying around. When you gave away the last, I was thinking if it were me, I would have been a little more reluctant to let that baby go. I guess having another made it a little less painful to say goodbye. I would imagine giving away the Beast fits in somewhere right along with marrying off a daughter.

I'm seriously thinking of getting this case. I'd like to get the clear side panel that cooler master has on their website, but I haven't seen it available anywhere yet.

My Current PC Specs:

AMD Phenom II 955 BE @ 3.2Ghz (stock, but watercooling & OC'ing soon)
Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P
4GB Corsair DDR2-1066
eVGA 8800 GTX
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
WD SE16 250GB x 2 Raid 0
CM Cosmos S Case

I am a little behind....I just read the article; I am just curious -- did the USB LEDs serve a good purpose? I mean was it a 'cool effect' or somehing that was actually useful....Also you mentioned that the drives didn't seem to be well fastened with the snap-plugs -- what if a rubber vibration absorber (don't know of a better term to use) was used...or is there just a lot of give/open space with the drive(s) in?

It is a really sexy-sleek looking case though.....for over $200 I will probably wait off on it however. I will admit that after reading the article I though "Wow I am going to go get one of these!!" and then I saw the price tag Sad

My favorite case of any I have seen is the Zalman Z Machine GT1000. I especially like the hard drive mounting system and the thickness of the aluminum used. The only downsides are the price and the lack of fans. Here is a wonderful review for anyone who missed it.

I think I like the CM Stacker 830 Evo better than the Cosmos S after comparing the two. What do you guys think?

i actually prefer the tt armor case, but this is one heck of a case reminds me alot of the armor, but this one has better airflow. the bars on the bottom are logical since they help psu airflow, but what about the bars on top? do they have a reason or is it just for looks?

i think the top bars may be for adding an exterior water cooling, and for easy movement of the case. that the only thing i can think of.

Very nice case I like this one and the 830 rs the best out of all cases. Great cooling and construction they seem to have taken anything into account one full tower system.
