Who else thinks this game looks interesting. I think it has a lot of potential and hopefully they don't screw it up, because it sure as hell looks like it would be fun to play.
i think it will be a great game if they get it right imean evolving from a singlecelled organsism to whatever and you get to choose what it does and everything sounds good to me
Of course it will be done well! It's Will Wright, the god of god games. If you haven't yet seen it, hop on youtube and watch Robin Williams play the game and create his own creature, it's very entertaining!

do you got a link to the video ive read about it but have yet to see any videos of it
I'm looking forward to the game aswell. Will Wright, is a very good game developer. However there are many that hate his games. Simply because EA used them as a cash cow.

This game has been hyped for a long time now. I haven't bought into it yet, but I keep an eye on it. The concept does seem amazing if pulled off right, but people can only wait so long before losing interest. Unless you still are excited for Duke Nuken Forever, of course.
Hello
I never got into this idea, because I thought the game was just about building your creature and that was it, but if all of your different creatures can interact, that is kinda cool. I might look into getting this once it comes out.
never really got in these type of god games, but if i did i think ill give this one a try
I do not think that this game will ever get launched
coolzonestefan:I do not think that this game will ever get launched
They already have video of robin williams playing the game, it will be launched...eventually.
They even had a little Spore demo for the iPhone/iPod Touch. It will come out eventually, but the premise is so ambitious that they are not rushing it for fear of letting people down.
i think we had a thread on spore before...anyway back to topic :-p it is supposed to be a revolutionary game much like gta3. so they are taking their time and making everything right. id rather wait 1 year more and get a amazing game then have a game rushed and need patch after patch.
Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but here is a little update on the game:
http://pc.ign.com/articles/869/869473p1.html
It mentions that it is planned for a Septemeber release.
I doubt I will buy the full version of the Spore Creater Creator. I might if I get a discount off the full version of Spore itself since it costs $10 for the Creater Creator. I'll definitely download the demo though.
I'm psyched for Spore. :)
If I'm not mistaken, the world you create is linked to the worlds of other Spore owners, so you can visit each other and have multiplayer experiences to some degree.
If so, we should plan a HotHardware Spore Coalition.
I'm total goo-goo over Spore. My wife wants it as well. You are right about linking the worlds together. You can fly to other folks planets and fight their creations. Pretty damn cool and I think it will catch on the exact same way that The Sims did.
