The ultra-low end isn't exactly where I would want to be taking a breather if I were AMD. Unfortunately for them, Intel has too strong of a presence at the ultra-high end of the spectrum for AMD to muscle their way in any time soon.

with the production space they will save from not building these cpus they could use that to be able to lower prices or come out with something good sooner

Aaaand both AMD's revenue and profit continue to plumett. They already have $35 CPUs, how much lower can ultra-low be?

maybe more production space for shanghi that way if they have a good stockpile built up they can release them sooner
Shanghai needed to have come out about 6 months ago to be competetive, most likely. But the sooner the better, I hope you're right.
