 I would stay away from skull candy headphones. I haven't listened to them but they look so tacky. Only time I see them is in airports with 14 year old kids wearing them hooked up to their DS.

 Huh, I know nothing about them! But, after a little research, I feel safe in saying bullet clips are a totally unnecessary feature for headphones.

They're Sennheiser, all the reviewers seem to love them, and they just look so damned comfy! The looks are going to be my primary reason for choosing them over the HD-555s, but I'm sure those are great too.

Yeah I read a review of them by Steve Guttenberg. He is like the A.O Scott of headphones. He said they were a kick ass buy. Check out his blog if wanted to read up on the high end sound scene. My dream is to one day get myself a truly quality sound setup. The only way that can happen on a budget  is a good education on the subject.

 Ah, I dug up that review, it was even more encouraging! Neat blog, too. I love music, but I'm not sure I'll ever get an awesome setup like that. A. Duplex proximity to neighbors. B. I think I may have damaged my hearing too much at front row concerts to ever really get the full benefit, haha. But, it's fun to think about, and there might be hope yet!

I was a previous owner of the Sennheiser PC155 USB before this set, those were great too but too flimsy, my desk chair rolled over their hair thin cord and broke it, after breaking 2 I gave up. The Medusa cord is long and thick(every guy wants that haha) and I've dropped them so many times and their still perfect! I even stepped on the volume controller and I heard a crack - still flawless, and im a 215LB guy.

Even after all this time I haven't become complacent with my Sennheiser 555s... they're great cans!
