I'm putting a pc build on hold for a month , because i want to buy q9300 instead of q6600 that i'm buying now . Can i expect q9's to be released in march ?
From what I've read around the net, march is the release for the Yorkfields. But nothing concrete, it may come and go, but chances are yorkfield will be released this month. =P
I'm torn between getting an E8400 now or waitng a bit for a Q9450.

9450 ^_^..Be a man!..lol =P. Just a few more weeks =D.
I find it funny, I'm all excited even though I can't afford it...rofl..I'm such a hopeless little man ^_^,
Patience isn't 1 of my strongest points, but I'll probably wait.
I know you've been talking ALOT about nehalem, but I'll be happy to ride a yorkie for 12-18 months. I know I want an X38 chipset... just not sure which board. DDR2 support is a must and something for 2 bills or less would be nice. The layout's gotta accomodate a Zerotherm Nirvana or Thermalright 120.
For under 2 bills...that's difficult. The Asus Maximum Formula is grand...but you'd be dishing out around 2 and a half bills =(.
DFI has an X38 board for $199. It's northbridge heatsink looks like it should be very effective, but would cause me to have to mount the cpu cooler to push air upwards which in my 900 might actually be an ideal orientation. I have 2 concerns with this board. 1: Will it support wolf/york? 2: I understand the bios has some extra options that have confused some users and made OC'ing a bit more difficult/involved.

ya q9450 lasts in the long run , especially for me as i do photoshop and video editing , so a quad core is a must . if i win the skulltrail , that would be my dream come true and best present ever after getting married that is .
@kamrooz , man even i get excited with the release of new processors , although i cant afford them , to see what these new babies can do . So i understand ur feelings . My setup atm is similar to u , 4-5 year old agp setup . AMD athlonxp 2800+ barton .
