I would only run it on 6 cores, that way I could still game easily with the last 2. :)

Wow I could actually use this for my 3d animation programs.  8 processors will tear up anything I can throw at it compared to my measly 2

I actually have use for such a powerful system.  I run 3d programs and applications such as maya and zbrush that would be tore up with the 8 processors available in the rig.  It would put my current system to shame since its a measly AMD X2 4200+.

Hey are you guys keeping track in any way of how many new members we have due to this contest? I would be interested to see just how many new members this thing has sparked.

We are keeping track via the original thread but there are other ways to sort the forum database to see who signed up when.  The turnout we've seen to this is actually pretty amazing.  We'll be doing things like this more often, I can tell you that.  Cool

Heya Folks!

I noticed our Feedblitz signup page was down over the last day or so, so I yelled at them and we should be good to go now!

If you haven't signed up for HH Feedblitz, please give it a whirl here:

Not to bad. Been busy with house hunting and the wedding plans for this summer but you know all about that don't youWink. Although I think most of my time the past couple days is just trying to keep up with the huge surge in posts here. I haven't seen this much activity since the hotshot and that other cat from israel(can't remember his name) days.

Awesome Beast and Awesome site! I can't believe I've been looking at that other site so long, not to mention any THW names... This site blows that one right into orbit. Kinda like what the Navy did to that spy satellite today.

I usually don't beg, but Please, Please, Please Pick Me! I'm working on a serious antique 7 year old dual xeon 800 with dual boot Vista / Win2k and it is a BSODD (blue screen of death dog) when I'm running Vista, so I could really use a new Beast. No chance of getting a new one either with 3 kids to feed and less than 1K in checking. I'm so broke I had to get Vista for free from college and I'm still on dialup and antenna. Please help a Guru who's down and out on his luck.

I'll donate this one to the local Boy's and Girls Club if I win, and post every pro and con about the Skulltrail Beast.

The system sure looks nice but I am concerned about heat. I am not familiar with that case but with a beast like this I would be putting it in something like the Antec 900 which has 4 fans stock and can add 2 more.

But I sure would like to win it to have these kind of problems to worry about.

This system should be more than powerful enough for the next three years, at least until the next MAJOR innovation comes - and it would fit into the empty space on my desktop quite nicely!

Now if everyone would just get themselves an avatar and say "Ice is sexy!" I think you would probably have an even greater chance of winning right? :) :) haha

BTW: I never subscribed to feedblitz but I am receiving it -- did Davo or Marco perhaps sign me up?? Hmm? I mean you happen to know my email from the last contest after all.... Wink

This contest is huge and the fact that it has attracted so many new users is great.

Wait... maybe it's not the contest at all... could it be Ice's sexyness???

Huh?

Stick out tongue

lol...On a serious note though. I tend to visit way too many forums, I don't know the policy about stating which although it shouldn't be too strict here. (Toms hardware is a joke in some regards, certain website names are censored...talk about lame). But mostly TH, XCPU's, HardForum, and some other smaller sites. I spend quite a lot of time on forums as you can see by my reg date and amount of posts =P....lol..
