    Geforce Go 8400

The new laptop I looking at from iBuyPower comes with a 256mb Geforce go 8400. Is this card good enough to run new games? (with 2GB DDR2).

Yes, but being that it is at the botom of the 8 series line you'll be workin with low settings and no AA on any new game.

Thx, thats pretty much what I figured. I was looking for a 8600 but what radeon graphics card could I get for a laptop would be the equivalent of that?

HD2600 is a pretty good card. you would be able to play some games at medium/high settings, forgot to mention if you could get the 8400 DDR3 instead of DDR2. cuz honestly it sucks. I got some review on the DDR3, and that is the way to go :)
