    Soundblaster Audigy 2zs platinum 51/2 drive I/O

I have an Soundblater Audigy 2zs Platinum soundcard that comes with a 5 1/2 drive kit

for headphones, line in, firewire, etc. that has a long Ribbon cable.

Anyone know if there is a round cable that will replace the ribbon cable?

It looks like it may be the same as a cable for a hard drive anyone know

    for sure?

thanks in advance for any help.

No. I had the same card/drive in my last PC and modified the cable myself to make it round.I wish I had some pics for you, but I can explain what I did if you want... let me know!

Thanks. I was hoping for a round cable 6" or 8" long. The  ribbon cable is way to long

I guess I will fold it up and use bands to hold it.

What did you use tape or cable wrap to make it round ?

and I would guess it would not be able to tied it up to shorten it?

                                    THANKS

The way I rounded it may sound like a risk to some, but I had no problems doing it.

I used the tip of a very sharp knife and split the strands of the cable at intervals of 4-5 strands. Then I layered them on top of one another sorta braiding them. Next I secured zip ties at either end. Finally I wraped electrical tape around the whole thing spiraling from end to end. I took my time with it and was very pleased with the look! Hope all that made sense.

Thanks.  I have three I/O drives and may try to do one like I said. I only need

a cable about 8in. long. So I will try a few ways.      Thanks again.
