true, but look at the ps3 now, its still playing catch up to the xbox 360. do you think sony would want to continue playing catch up forever? it will want to be realeased first.

im not saying the ps3 will die the moment the ps4 comes out. i think the ps3 has a good 6-8 years of life. but that doesnt stop sony from releasing a ps4.

If a new console will come so fast from Sony,like that site says,then the PS3 will be the worst console in the Playstation history!Even the PS1 lasted more,much more and A LOT of games were developed for it in the process!

I guess the number of the games that are now for the PS3 are not 1/4 of the games that were and are developed for PS2!PS2 did not need even an upgraded firmware! 

Playstations 1 and 2 had the advantage of being the market leaders.  PS3 won't see as many games since it's currently in last.  But I still think Sony won't rush to market a PS4.  I guess 2011 is a possibility, but I'm still guessing 2012 most likely.

I'm not sure what you mean about the firmware.  Last-gen consoles could not be updated.  All of the current gen receive new firmware periodically.
