I'm waiting for my new 7800GS AGP card to arrive so I can replace my ATI 9600. In the meantime I thought I would use 3D Mark to benchmark "before and after". Every time I try to open 3D Mark 03 or 06, the splash screen comes up for about 3 or 4 seconds and I get a blue error screen and a reboot. Any idea why? Thanks in advance.

Are you running any overclocks?

Now that you mention it, I was running the fsb at 215. I dropped it back down to 200 and it still crashes. I typed the error code into Google and it said "not found". Any suggestions?

can you run any 3D app or game? I ask this because I had a similar problem several months back and the fan on my 9800pro stopped spinning. if the fan on your video card is dead 2D will work fine but 3D won't.

Is your system prime95 and memtest86 stable?

Both programs are free and will stress CPU and memory and you will see errors if your system is not stable.

Couldn't figure out how to run Memtest86 right away , so I Ran AquaMark 3. It ran fine with a triscore of 30,095. When I tried to run Memtest, a window came up saying "enter disk image source file name:". I have no clue what that means...

Yes..you need to put a blank floppy in your drive and run the install.bat file. It will copy the files to the floppy. Reboot the system with the disk in the drive and make sure your system is set to boot to floppy before hard drive.

Ran the default tests on Memtest for over 2 hours with no problem. I'm supposed to get my 7800GS tomorrow so I'll see then if I can run 3DMark with the new card. It would have been nice to do a "before and after" though. Oh well... Thanks for the input!
