Been Folding On A New Test Machine Lately

A picture speaks a thousand words, isn't that what they say?

NO - I cannot speak of what processor(s) is/are running these instances of the Folding client on only one machine. Sorry! Carry on!

You should throw a pair of Radeon X19x0s in there and run 6 instances!

Can you run F@H on a crossfire rig? I thought that wasn't out yet but it'd be super-sweet

Yes back in September Stanford released the new beta client for Ati 1900 series cards. It has been said that some of the other flavors work but at a hefty cost. Anyway here's the linkage http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html

If ya got the cards it sure looks to be a very nice increase in points as Stanford's point system is different for the gpu client and you gain a good chunk on the daily average while using the gpu clients. However it does have it's trade offs so you may want to go read up on it. I say foldem if ya got em. I would like to have a crossfire setup to play with say the Amd 4x4 with say quad cores Ok excuse me had a drool bath now back to reality for me the only duallie i have at the moment is in the lappy . Maybe after Christmas i'll get 2 step up to some fun dual core action on the desktop.

War - I'm aware of them doing the x1900 line up F@H, but I'm still pretty sure it's broken on x-fire (I think I read it can't run at all on x-fire).

Oops i believe your right!! Well given time I'm sure that can be fixed. At least i hope it can i mean otherwise my hopes to ever see Dual crosffire amd4x4 quad core action might never come to be. Lets all hope it does and that when it happens one of use us Hothardware folders maybe the first one with it. Just imagine the daily point production for that 1 pc.

    1. multi-GPU client. there is one [version 5.91 beta] check: http://forum.folding-community.org/ftopic16669.html
    2. follow instructs. check: http://fahinfo.org/gpu/multi_gpu_howto.html

Does it work on a Kentsfield/QuadCore? No idea. But I did see on the folding forums that it will work with a non-Crossfire setup..

    Hi Samuel,

Could you explain exactly what issue you are currently having. Post up as many details as possible.

I'm no expert, but I have been beta/alpha testing F@H for a fare few years, so may be able to shed some light.
