Since i buyed my new PC, i STILL have one big problem. The mouse keeps lagging whatever i do. Firstly it was a problem with the secondary ide controller. Solved that. BUT - the problem still exists! When the CPU load is a LITTLE higher, the mouse immediately starts to lag! If i am just looking on the desktop, it moves very very smoothly. But when i only play an DIVX video, its lagging again!! Please, help me this is killing me! I HATE IT!! PLEASE SOMEBODY!! Just dont say to me that the cpu is slow! It doesnt happen to me for THREE years on my old p4 1700mhz!! Now new cpu mb graph.card memory and thats it! LAGGING. I have tried WIN2k, nothing. Tried XP(running now) - NOTHING. Any ideas please?

Can you give me the make and model of your mouse. Also, the amount of RAM your comp has and the amount avialiable. You can find the info in system information.

Try downloading the latest drivers from this site. If the new drivers dont work i would suggest that you get a new mouse.

Download and install AdAware SE Personal adware/spyware scanner. Run a full system scan once you have updated the software (open the software and click the "Check for updates" button to update). Delete any and everything it finds. Run a full system scan with an up to date virus scan program and remove any viruses.

Good luck.

I have already done that. That didnt help. Anyway i have solved the problem. It may sound stupid, but i just had an low refresh rate. All the time on my 1700mhz pc i was using 75hz. Now on the new one 75hz was low or something but i switched to 85hz and the problem dissapeared. So the mouse was not lagging technically but only visually. The new graphics card or driver settings doesnt wait for vertical sync or something. Anyway the mouse now moves very smoothly all the time. Thank you all for your support!
