Twitter can, or will, be able to tell where you tweet from, the company announced on Thursday. The company is giving third-party developers access before they enable the feature on Twitter.com. They will, however add the feature, and it will, most importantly, be opt-in. That's important, because there are privacy implications. And that’s why it’s a good decision to make this feature opt-in. Of course, location-based services (LBS) are a hot trend, so it makes sense that Twitter would want to hop onto the bandwagon. Here's what Twitter founder Biz Stone had to say: We're gearing up to launch a... Read more...

Though you might not go there as often yet, you soon will.  It's a random sort of babble that sounds mysteriously entertaining at first and then sucks you in like some cheesy sit-com.  What am I speaking of you say? Why the HH Blog Roll of course!  In our recent submissions we discuss things like the new HH Twitter and Facebook pages, that you should all either become a "fan" of or "follow" almost immediately, if not sooner.    And then of course Marco steps up in his RTG with a fleeting glimpse of a new keyboard that just might get you all jazzed - or not, depending... Your MP3 player is a marvelous thing. But the one thing it isn't, is high fidelity.  People are coming to the realization that pretty good sound reproduction is good enough, and that is spelling doom and gloom for the retailers that depend on high-end home stereo for their livelihood. Tweeter Home Entertainment Group Inc., a Canton, Mass.-based retailer of mid-to-high end audio equipment, is closing 49 of its 153 stores nationwide. Slumping sales at Sacramento, Calif.-based Tower Records led that former industry juggernaut to declare Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August. And... Read more...
