One of the best features on the Xbox One was just released this past fall as part of the New Xbox One Experience (NXOE). In addition to providing a Windows 10-based software platform and new community features, the NXOE also brought with it backwards compatible support for Xbox 360 games. Xbox One Backwards Compatibility debuted with a healthy 104 titles in November, and Microsoft increased that number by 16 in mid-December. Game publishers are in love with DRM, even the Draconian kind that every once in awhile causes an uproar in the gaming community. Remember Spore? It initially shipped with a three-activation limit, and like baseball, three strikes and you're out. This limit was later relaxed by Electronic Arts, who upped it to five activations and made it possible to de-authorize machines, but only after it became a huge controversy.
