LaCie is no stranger to making products that can take a beating. Not only are the company's drives stylish, some of them are about as rugged as they come. But now LaCie is creating something that lets you choose what's inside. The Tank, which definitely has a simple name, has a pretty simple purpose as well. It's designed as a rugged, rain-proof case that can hold anything from a 2.5" hard drive to a Nintendo DSi. The unit ships with internal padding that can be rearranged based on what you're trying to protect, and it's IP-63 certified to protect against dust and pouring rain. There's also military-grade... Can you spell "SEC investigation?"  There is definitely going to be one after this.  A post at CNN's new social news site, iReport, resulted in Apple stock plummeting this morning, when it was rumored that Steve Jobs had suffered a heart attack.  iReport allows users to post unvetted stories, which then --- after vetting, may be posted to the iReport page on CNN.com.  This story obviously didn't make it there, and has since been taken down.Interestingly, this user has never submitted a story previously.  And the time of the story posting, 6 AM PDT, was obviously very suspicious. ... Many of us have fond memories of playing video games in the arcade of a local bowling alley, popping 25 cents into the machine on a regular basis to keep the fun going.  Back then, that was the main way to get your game on, displaying your skills for all to see.  If you can remember dropping quarters into the slot of a machine running Pole Position, Galaga, Missle Command or any other game of that era, you might like the business model of X-Arcade. Reminiscent of the days when quarters ruled the video game market, X-Arcade has built a product base of custom game controllers... Read more...
If you're showing up at the Star Wars conventions in a plain old limousine or a Prius, listen up: for a fraction of the price of  an AT-AT, you can now afford a JL 421 Land Cruiser, and get all the girls dressed up like Princess Leia in a metal bikini. And it's only $19,999.95 on Amazon. Order early, I imagine this item will dwarf the demand for the Apple iPhone. The JL421 Badonkadonk is a completely unique, extremely rare land vehicle and battle tank. Designed with versatility in mind, the Donk can transport cargo or a crew of five internally or on the roof, and can be piloted from within... Read more...
