Samsung's nightmare scenario with its fire-prone Galaxy Note 7 launch continues as yet another handset—this time a replacement phone that's supposed to be unaffected by the original recall—overheated and emitted heavy smoke. It happened on a grounded Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 that was scheduled to travel from Louisville to Baltimore. Nintendo surprised an entire flight of passengers on Southwest Airlines by handing out free Wii U consoles to each and every person. There were more than 100 passengers on flight 1883 from New Orleans to Dallas Love Field, and every one of them walked off the plane with Nintendo's latest home console after being greeted by a costumed Mario character. The surprise act kicked off a partnership between Nintendo and Southwest that will extend through the holiday season. Gogo Inflight Internet service may be looking forward to big expansion plans in the future, but there’s one airline that’s missing from its growth list: Southwest Airlines. That’s because Southwest Airlines and Row 44 have their own plans to roll out Wi-Fi beginning in the first quarter of 2010. This fall, Southwest will move to the next step of certifying its full fleet with plans to begin fleet wide rollout of the Row 44 satellite service.
